Global Ministries Christian Church, Boston, Massachusetts
Global Ministries Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian Church located in Boston, Massachusetts. Originally designed by architect Arthur H. Vinal in 1889, this church has stood as a pillar of faith for individuals from all walks of life for many years. It was founded as Dorchester Temple Baptist Church in 1886, starting the foundation for a rich history of faith in the wider Boston area. The name was later updated to encompass a wider audience, dropping the specificity of “Dorchester” to allow for greater representation in not only Boston but Massachusetts as a whole. The church also decided to move away from having “Baptist” in its name to allow a more all-encompassing approach to its denomination.
When the time came to update the design of this historic church, Adams Architectural Millwork fabricated two new windows to replicate the historic feel while adding the longevity of a modern sash. These Mahogany divided-lite windows measure an impressive 7 1/2 feet tall and 11 feet wide while hosting 32 unique panes of glass. When completed, these windows ended up being one of the largest projects to go through the Adams’ Architectural Millwork shop.
