Adams Architectural Millwork Co. was contacted by an architect to consult with us the possibility of replicating window sash for a historic home. The original sash were 1-3/4″ thick with diamond lite patterns in the muntin bars. The new homeowner wanted to make sure to keep the same site lines, while adding energy efficient insulated glass to the sash. To keep the same site lines we have built the sash 2-1/4″? thick. The customer choose to have the sash made from Vertical Grain Douglas Fir.
We also made several custom interior doors to match the existing door, entry door using the customer’s stained glass, as well as a door to the turret on the third floor.
