CUSTOM ENTRY DOORS FOR HISTORIC REVITALIZATION PROJECT
An innovative structure from its construction, the concrete frame and brickwork created a truly fireproof building. Built in 1912 to house a plumbing fixture and supply company, this historic revitalization now holds beautiful apartments. Although Kretschmer Manufacturing is no longer in business, this area is in the Millwork District and has been included on the National Register for Historic Places (Kretschmer Lofts).
The entry doors embody the feeling of the revitalization: blending modern amenities with historical essentials. They are traditional and classic, yet contain an innovation with a moving sash included in their structure. These doors are impressive at 2-3/4″ thick and range from 86″ to 104″ in height, based on their location in the building.
It is both a challenge and a motivation to take on custom projects that require additional attention and thinking in an innovative way. We want to ensure we can fabricate a working end product to meet a specific request. All of the woodworking knowledge that we have both in the office and the shop helped to make this happen!
